The Apostle's Fast, observed June 16 to June 28, is a time of reflection and preparation leading to the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul (June 29). These great apostles spread the Gospel with unwavering faith—Peter, the "rock" of the Church, and Paul, a former persecutor turned devoted evangelist. Their legacy calls us to deeper prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, strengthening our faith as we embrace their teachings.
Traditionally, a strict fast is observed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays of this fast. Confession is also customary, as all fasting periods serve to spiritually prepare us for the Feast. May this season inspire us to follow in the footsteps of these holy apostles!
