Clergy Announcement

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Very Rev. Steven P. Koplinka, who has been granted retirement status effective December 1, 2025. Father Steven has faithfully served St. Nicholas Church in Munster, Indiana, and many other communities throughout our Eparchy. His dedication and pastoral care have touched countless lives, and we thank him for his many years of service. He will reside in Riverhead, New York during his retirement. May God grant him peace and joy in this new chapter.

We also welcome Rev. Andrew Summerson, who has been appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Nicholas Church in Munster, effective December 1, 2025. Father Andrew will retain all his current responsibilities, including his role of Parochial Administrator at St. Mary Church in Whiting. We pray for him as he begins this new ministry and ask the faithful to support him with their prayers and encouragement.
