Three Parishes, One Joyful Celebration

Although the Feast of the Sacred Heart is observed on June 12 in the Roman Catholic calendar, nearly 130 faithful gathered for this special annual celebration, bringing together three area parishes—St. Nicholas (Detroit), St. Stephen (Allen Park), and Sacred Heart (Livonia).

Despite heavy rain, a reverent procession was held inside the church following the Divine Liturgy, along with mirovanja. The celebration continued in the parish hall, where all enjoyed a festive meal and warm fellowship. This joyful and grace-filled gathering highlighted the unique blessing of parishes coming together as one community, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful tradition in the years to come.
